Jie (Lyn) Lu

Jie (Lyn) Lu, an associate, practices in the areas of domestic and international taxation. Her tax work includes preparation of business and personal income tax returns; with a focus on U.S. tax compliance for foreign financial interests, including FBARs, GILTI tax for Controlled Foreign Companies (CFC), Section 962 election for individual shareholders, and Passive Foreign Investment Companies (PFIC).

Prior to joining VMS, Lyn worked as an intern at King & Wood Mallesons, LLP, performed pro bono work for Taiwan Judicial Reform Foundation, Center of Law and Education, and worked as a clinic student at BU/MIT Technology Law Clinic while attending law school.

Lyn is a graduate of China University of Political Science and Law (LLB 2018), Boston University (LLM in IP 2020), and Boston University (JD 2022). She is admitted to practice law in Massachusetts and speaks Mandarin and Shanghainese.
