Scott C. Cashman has been with the firm since 1997. Currently of counsel to the firm, Scott practices primarily in the area of domestic taxation, business planning, estate planning, trust and probate administration, and nonprofit organizations.  Scott has over seventeen years experience advising wealthy clients and their families on effective tax saving strategies and wealth preservation techniques as well as advising small businesses on choice of entity, entity formation and business strategies.  Prior to joining the firm, Scott held a variety of position in bank trust departments.  In addition, Scott previously served as a Special Assistant United States Attorney for the Northern District of New York. 

Scott is actively involved in the community.  He has served since January 2005 as one of the five members of the City of Worcester Planning Board and is currently the Vice-Chairman.  In addition, Scott has served since 1997 as a member of the Holy Name High School Advisory Board in Worcester, Massachusetts.

Scott is a graduate of New England School of Law (J.D. 1997), Bentley College (M.S. Taxation, 1992) and Framingham State College (B.A., 1988). He is also a Certified Financial Planner (CFP, 1991). 

Scott is admitted to practice in Massachusetts, the U.S. District Court, District of Massachusetts, U.S. Tax Court, U.S. District Court, District of Northern New York and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces.

Scott is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association, Grafton Hill Business Association, and Vernon Hill American Legion Post #435. 

Scott is also a Major in the U.S. Army Reserves with over seventeen years of active and reserve service including a deployment to Central Asia as part of Operation Enduring Freedom.
